What is “Pick & Choose”?

The Pick and Choose feature allows your customers to interact with items on the eBid. If you feel like you’re constantly re-working estimates because customers want to see different options, then you need Pick and Choose!


How does it work?

When Pick and Choose is enabled, each item on an eBid will have a check box next to it. When the box is checked, the item is included in the estimate total. When the box is unchecked, the item is not included in the estimate total. Customers can make adjustments themselves (check and uncheck the boxes next to items) to see how it affects the estimate total. 


For example:

If a customer is on the fence about having the ceilings painted, include the ceilings in each area on the estimate so he can see the total. If he wants to see the project without “ceilings” all he needs to do is uncheck the box next to “ceilings” (in each area) and the total will automatically be adjusted. If he changes his mind and wants the ceilings painted, he can simply check the box again and the total will update. You don’t have to do anything!

Remember: The eBid is live so if you look at the eBid on your end, you’ll see changes made by the customer.


Important: Material Rounding must be OFF in order to use Pick & Choose. 


How to Turn Off Material Rounding: 

  2. Click EDIT to verify the Material Rounding settings
  3. Un-check the box next to ROUND UP MATERIALS
  4. Un-check the box next to ROUND UP TO WHOLE CONTAINERS
  5. Click DONE

If you prefer to leave rounding turned ON by default, you can turn it off on a job-by-job basis.
